“Everything is dazzlingly fresh, beguilingly fragrant, exotic yet earthy.” The words of the late AA Gill. And it’s not just revered restaurant critics who are impressed, Maroush has a reputation across the capital for serving the best Lebanese food in town.

Probably the best falafel you’ll find in London

However the acclaimed chain had humble beginnings. Founders Marouf and Houda Abouzaki left Lebanon over 30 years ago as war ravaged at home. Arriving in London they realised people were only just beginning to explore world cuisines, so naturally they wanted to introduce the locals to Lebanese food —and to do it the traditional way.

The classic Shawarma wrap — as good as it looks

Since the first restaurant on Edgware road in 1981 Maroush has expanded across London and now boasts 16 branches. And it’s a diverse empire: The pricier Maroush & Maroush Gardens frequently have belly dancing or live music while the café-like surrounds of Maroush IV, Ranoush, or Beirut Express are slightly more low-key. Wherever you go though you’ll be treated to the same culinary excellence and food bursting with fragrance & flavour.

With closing times as late as 4am, and a native clientele familiar with late night eating Maroush and Feast were a perfect match. It means you can get Lebanese mezze, warm falafel, sautéed chicken livers and marinated chicken or lamb from the grill delivered to your door throughout the night.
